The Celebration of Love at our hometown

On December 21st, 2008 we had another celebration of love hosted by his parents. It was 6 months gap though. The lunch reception was held at Brilliant Chinese Restaurant. They invited mostly their friends and relatives. The dishes were delicious and we believed that our guests enjoyed too.

Tea Ceremony

After we went back home, we had this Tea Ceremony as our respects to our elders. Usually we will offer them tea and they would give their blessings with some grand gifts like jewellery or red packets.

During the entrance, we sang together "Looking Through The Eyes of Love" and was accompanied by our dear keyboadist, Ms Eka Sari. Our Master of Ceremony of the day was Mr Yohannes Goana and Ms Helina. Our guests enjoyed the sumptuous lunch served by Smiling Orchid Catering We had cake cutting ceremony and champagne toasting as well as bouquet throw for our single friends. Our Solemnization Mass started at 2pm at Church of St Mary of The Angels. Our parents, relatives, guests have arrived there before 2pm. We had prepared everything and waited for this moment. Intan, my sister was the ring bearer and Fr. John was our solemnizer. Our witnesses were Om Adi and Tante Agnes and groom's best man was Ferdinand. The mass was solemn and everything went to the plan until there's a glitch during ring exchange. The ring that I supposed to put on his finger dropped into the floor and thanks God it was found in a few seconds. We had a good laugh though during that time. It was unforgettable memory. And finally, we were officially husband and wife in front of Altar and began our household of faith together.

After that, we had this "Wedding Veil" Ceremony where my parents would cover my face with wedding veil. This symbolised that they were ready to give me away to my future husband. Another meaning was virginity. It symbolised that I was still pure and virgin before consuming our marriage. On the other hand, he has the "Wedding suit" Ceremony where his parents would put on hi
