Au revoir 2023 and Happy New Year 2024

We spent the New Year Eve at our friend's house until past midnight. It's a great catch up with them to share our travel stories with them. They have been thick and thin during covid time. Then on the first day of 366 days in year 2024 we attended the morning mass celebrating The feast of Mary, Mother of God asking her prayer and blessing for this new year. As we don't know what will come and turn out the end of the road, we only could trust God that His plan is always the best for us. One verse that comes in my mind is Be Brave, I will be with you

Last date and meal in 2023

It's been a great year after all the ups and downs. As I pondered and reflected there are more wins than lose. I am so grateful for  1. Hubby who fully supports me and family 2. Kids who are unique and responsible in their own way and obedient and love God 3. Parents who are still healthy, together and support us in the way they could 4. Siblings who are still healthy and prosper 5. Friends in Christ who are praying together with us  6. Mbak Erna, our helper who's joyful serving our family with love and joy 7. Jobs where God provide us materially and how we grow as a person and for me even though there are some agonies in the past 8 months, I discover the true value that important for me which is family first, works second 8. Travel and holiday that have been going well and smooth so far from Jakarta, Holy Land, Japan, Malaysia 9. Good health even though I had frozen shoulder and my body fats have been increasing so far, thanks God I am still alive and can exercise 10. Faith, e

Magical White Xmas - Japan trip (day 13)

The holiday is almost over, we spent the last night at Narita Airport hotel and we had Japanese style family room. As we were so tired from the whole day skiing and sledding we decided to have cup noodles for dinner while waiting for our laundry and packing. It's time to say goodbye for now to Japan but we will come back again for sure in the future. It's such a great and fun holiday, all of us have a great time there.

Magical White Xmas - Japan trip (day 12)

It's our last day at Yuzawa ski resort and we didn't want to waste our snow link pass thus hubby and our first borne son decided to ski to conquer 3 mountains unknowingly the area. We went to Yuzawa Kogen in the morning when it just opened and it's quiet peaceful as only few people there. While both of them were skiing, I accompanied two other boys for playing at snow land park sledding. Around 10 am, we moved to Gala Yuzawa resort to try their ski courses and snow land park, it's very crowded with tourists and they had smaller snow land park so we decided to play there building snowman and sledding while hubby and Richie skiing. Unfortunately they took wrong courses and went to intermediate route. It's very challenging for both of them, thanks God they could come back to the base camp safe and sound with bruises. Meanwhile, I and the other two boys moved to other mountain and riding their gondola to the top but it seems that these mountain was designed specifically

Magical White Xmas - Japan trip (day 11)

It's skiing and sledding time ! We bought 2 days snow link passes for 3 mountains without knowing that we can't even ski haha. It costs us around SGD 600 and after that we just realised that we should not buy that passes because we even won't do ski on those slopes. It is what it is, a really good lesson learnt. In the end, hubby and the kids took 1.5 hrs of ski lesson in the afternoon. Prior to that we played sledding and tried ski ourselves. As we spent so much energy there and it's pretty cold due to wind and cloudy day, we decided to have soba and sake for dinner at Train station.
