New Year Eve 2022

I am planning to hibernate during New Year Eve, sit down and doing some reflections and thinking about New Year resolutions, alas things may not happen according to my plan. I am very tired physically from the Malaysia trip. What I really want to do just sleep in and do nothing but what make me tired mentally is we fight over trivial matters. It started well this morning, we brought the kids out to West Coast for breakfast and strolled in the park. Hubby asked me what will be the plan for today as he wanted to give some year end speeches to the kids. I told him, I had no plan at all as I was very tired. I just wanted to stay at home and rest. He was quiet but I didn't notice it as I was quiet too to reflect what I have done this year and what will be my new year resolutions. When we went home everything was normal, I asked our helper to clean our car and did grocery for next week meals. While waiting the car wash done, I wrote this blog about our Malaysia trip. After she's done...

Merry Christmas 2022 !

Merry Christmas ! May the love, joy, peace and hope be with us always I may not have time to do some reflections during this Christmas, one thing that I could say it is a gratitude for this Christmas that we still can celebrate it as a family. And this is the summary of our adventure in Malaysia

Christmas Holiday in Malaysia (19 - 30 Dec 2022) - Part 5 (Melaka)

The holiday is almost over, we were going to South now and stopped by at Melaka for a night. We spent our time trying local authentic food like chendol, chicken rice and other local snacks.

Christmas Holiday in Malaysia ( 19 - 22 Dec 2022) - Part 4 (Ipoh)

We moved to another city which is Ipoh, it's 2 hours drive from Cameron Highland. The city is quiet but rich in flavour. The food was nice especially in the Old Town Ipoh. Ipoh is a unique city because it's surrounded by the limestones. We spent 3 days 2 nights there. Our serviced apartment is facing the lake and limestones. We arrived in the evening and had dinner at sushi restaurant. The next day we spent most of the time in the hotel, using hotel facilities as they had badminton court, table tennis court, gym, swimming pool. We went to Old town for lunch eating their authentic local food which is Ipoh hor fun then we stopped by at famous concubine lanes which now became tourist place with lots of souvenir shops. In the evening, we went to Lost World Hot Spring Theme park. It's so crowded and we couldn't enjoy it fully.

Christmas Holiday in Malaysia (19 - 30 Dec 2022) - part 3 (Cameron Highlands)

On Christmas eve, we moved to another place which is the coldest place in West Malaysia. It took around 3 hours from Genting since there's traffic jam in the highway.  When we entered Cameron Highlands area, it seemed like we were in the England suburbs. The buildings were Irish style. Thanks God our hotel was located in the city centre thus it's very convenient to find the amenities like food, laundry, pharmacies. We had Christmas eve's dinner below the hotel, the food was good and cheap. It's a western food. The next day we celebrated Christmas mass at the church nearby which was around 2 mins drive from the hotel. The mass was conducted in Mandarin and the homily was spoken in 3 languages. After that we had full day tour from visiting the sheep farm, Boh tea plantation, and lavender garden and in the evening we had steamboat dinner at the hotel. On the boxing day, we went to Strawberries farm for strawberry handpicking, the strawberries were sweet and juicy. Then we ...
