A dream comes true ! Spring in Japan 2023

A dream comes true ! What I have been dreaming 10 years ago finally comes true.

I and hubby were able to fly to Japan during sakura and it's just perfect time to see the sakura full bloom.

We went to Kansai region only since I want to learn more about Japanese culture, the way of life and Kyoto is the perfect city.

We bought Scoot ticket 3 months ago and it's kinda cheap and booked budget hotel nearby main city's staton which are Osaka and Kyoto.

We tried different kind of street food and mostly are good and cheap.

This is the high level of our itinerary

Day 1 - Fly from SG to Osaka and spend the night at Osaka

Day 2 - Visiting Kurumon fish market and half day trip to Nara and stay in Osaka

Day 3 - Moving to Kyoto, be a Japanese girl for a day, learning tea ceremony, wearing kimono and strolling around Gion area

Day 4 - Spending the full day at Arashiyama, from taking scenic train, trekking, canoeing and riding ricksaw

Day 5 - Visiting the icon of Kyoto - Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizaderu temple

Day 6 - Visiting Nishiki market and surrounding and fly back from Osaka to SG

Very grateful for hubby who accompanied me and took lots of nice pictures and videos as memento.

Thanks God for make my wish and dream come true as my birthday present this year.

Birthday Trip to Vietnam - Hanoi (Cafe hopping)

We spent our last day in Hanoi doing what we love most— café hopping ! The day started with a local breakfast of Banh Cuon , a soft steamed rice roll filled with minced pork and mushrooms, quite similar to chee cheong fun but with its own Vietnamese twist. Light yet flavorful—perfect to kick off the morning. Next, we visited Café Giang , the birthplace of the famous egg coffee . Rich, creamy, and unlike any coffee we've had before—it’s a must-try when in Hanoi. Our last café stop was The Note Coffee , a cozy and cheerful little spot decorated from floor to ceiling with colorful sticky notes left by visitors from all over the world. Their iced coconut coffee was refreshing and delicious—definitely a highlight. Since our hotel was located near Train Street , we couldn’t resist visiting it multiple times— three to be exact! As for me and my house will serve you Lord

Finally, I’ve joined the boys in serving at the Eucharist. It’s not my time, but His time. Two of the communion ministers were unable to serve on Sunday morning and requested to move to the Saturday sunset Mass. This left the group leader looking for replacements — and he thought of me, knowing that my hubby has been serving at Mass for 10 years. I said “yes” to the invitation, and so began my journey: the commissioning Mass on 3rd August, a Day of Recollection on 9th August, and my very first duty on 10th August. It is such a privilege to offer Jesus, in the Body of Christ, to His sheep. As I looked into the eyes of each parishioner receiving the Body of Christ, I saw so many different expressions. My prayer is that this gift of the Body of Christ will strengthen them in their journey, whatever season of life they are in.
