Business Meeting with God

When I was at the gym, I came across a YouTube video by Stefanie Gass about running a God-led business. As I continued listening to her podcasts, I found one episode that deeply spoke to me: Business Meeting with God.

She explained how important it is to have regular “business meetings with God”—whether weekly, biweekly, or monthly. God is the CEO. He sees the bigger picture and knows what’s ahead, while we are His employees. That’s why we need to consult Him and ask for direction instead of relying on our own plans.

Here’s how Stefanie suggested having a business meeting with God:

  1. Prepare a quiet space—light a candle, bring your Bible, journal, and a pen.

  2. Begin with praise and worship.

  3. Spend a silent moment asking God to speak.

  4. Be attentive—He may prompt you to read a certain verse or remind you of something.

  5. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s direction. God is not a God of confusion but of clarity. Often, we struggle not because He isn’t clear, but because His guidance seems too simple and we resist obeying.

  6. Write your reflections in your journal.

  7. End with prayer—asking for grace to follow His will, and giving thanks.

I’ve started practicing this in the past week, and I truly cherish these moments. Instead of only seeking His approval after making my own decisions, I’m learning to first listen to Him.

During my first session, God reminded me that His way is not always smooth or easy. He led me to Abraham’s story—his obedience to God’s call, the challenges he faced, and the long waiting period before God’s promises were fulfilled. Yet, through obedience and trust, God delivered His promises.

In my second session, He brought me to Psalm 23: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” This reminded me why I am in this business. It’s not about me, my success, or worldly achievements—because God has already given me more than enough: a beautiful, harmonious family, good health, a home, food on the table, and clothes to wear.

I can see His goodness, especially in how He continues to guide me in this business. Even though I haven’t experienced a big breakthrough yet, I believe that one day, by His grace, I will.

Birthday Trip to Vietnam - Hanoi (Cafe hopping)

We spent our  last day in Hanoi  doing what we love most— café hopping ! The day started with a local breakfast of  Banh Cuon , a soft steamed rice roll filled with minced pork and mushrooms, quite similar to  chee cheong fun  but with its own Vietnamese twist. Light yet flavorful—perfect to kick off the morning. Next, we visited  Café Giang , the birthplace of the famous  egg coffee . Rich, creamy, and unlike any coffee we've had before—it’s a must-try when in Hanoi. Our last café stop was  The Note Coffee , a cozy and cheerful little spot decorated from floor to ceiling with colorful  sticky notes  left by visitors from all over the world. Their  iced coconut coffee  was refreshing and delicious—definitely a highlight. As for me and my house will serve you Lord

Finally, I’ve joined the boys in serving at the Eucharist. It’s not my time, but His time. Two of the communion ministers were unable to serve on Sunday morning and requested to move to the Saturday sunset Mass. This left the group leader looking for replacements — and he thought of me, knowing that my hubby has been serving at Mass for 10 years. I said “yes” to the invitation, and so began my journey: the commissioning Mass on 3rd August, a Day of Recollection on 9th August, and my very first duty on 10th August. It is such a privilege to offer Jesus, in the Body of Christ, to His sheep. As I looked into the eyes of each parishioner receiving the Body of Christ, I saw so many different expressions. My prayer is that this gift of the Body of Christ will strengthen them in their journey, whatever season of life they are in.
