A Journey to Promised Land

This is the reflection of my hubby's journey in his career from 4 years ago, on how God's vision was revealed. End of the year 2016, his mentor cum direct supervisor has been retrenched, he was very devastated and full of anger and anxiety that he would be the next one to be in the chopping board. However by God's grace he managed to resolve, forgive and love the higher level management and blessings came. He got a pay rise within a month after his supervisor was retrenched.  His order came like a river and he was in the peak of his career when suddenly another company came and made a better offer. He was in the dilemma, it's because he's already in the comfortable position and life and have achieved everything from the zero ground. After discernment and praying, he received the vision from God that God asked him to climb the higher mountain but he needed to go down from this current mountain. I affirmed him with the wisdom that I received that he needed to let go a...

Palm Sunday Ride

This sunday is a bright sunny day, we wake up early in the morning and decide to have some sweats outdoor. We ride the bicycle from our home to West Coast Park and back again totalling around 7km. We feel good after that and have dimsum lunch with our lovely family. It's a fruitful and blessed Sunday.

The Power of Prayer and Fasting

It's a testimony how great is our God.  Weather has been unpredictable these days, and on Friday we have planned team outing since 2 months ago.  Two weeks before, it's been raining in the afternoon and even when I checked 5 days before, it's a high chance to have raining in the afternoon with even some hours are thunderstorm. I still had hope that the forecast may change, however every time I checked the weather forecast, it happened as predicted. On Thursday morning, I decided to pray and fast. I told God that I knew this was a trivial case and not like life and death situation, but it would be nice if the rain could stop for 3 hours only during our activity. Furthermore, I told God too if He has another plan, and the rain still happened, I still gave thanks to Him. Miraculously, on Thursday, it's a nice and cloudy day and I jokingly told God, please don't mess up my request, I asked good weather on Friday not Thursday. On Friday morning, it seems that weather was...

Happy Saturday Ride

Today I and hubby had morning ride together around Ulu Pandan Canal until Jurong east totalling around 10km. It's a bright sunny day and it's good to mesmerize God's awesome creation.

Walking in the moonlight

Last Saturday, we had supper after he finished from his badminton exercise. We went to Marina Promenade, strolling through the night while enjoying Singapore landscape and ate at Satay by The Bay. We ended the night with netflix TV show, Love, Marriage and Divorce. It's a good night to talk about anything under the moon.

Prata and Ice Cream

We celebrate the end of term 1 results with Prata and Ice Cream. Richie has improvements in his result and Tromson has a full mark for his math test and Ted has full marks for his English spelling test. We had a simple celebration for this small success.

Marching in love (March 2021)

We celebrate the end of term 1 with something light, refreshing and sparking the joy. I chose this restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine on the top of Capita Green. The place is awesome, we got the window seat facing Marina bay. As we enjoy the sunset, the companion and of course the food. We start it off with this mediterranean bread served with olive oil and spice and herbs crushed and Freekeh and strawberry salad to share. For main course, I order roasted salmon and hubby order spinach and feta pie. To end it, we order Chocolate and mascorpone torte.

How we measure success

I got this picture from my friend which I think it's true especially in this age. Traditional way, success is measured by our salary and title in the job. As I mature, I realise what makes me truly happy is not a career or having lots of money. What makes me happy is doing what I like and make a positive impact to the people surrounding me. No matter what title I have.  Even in my current job as office manager, I'm proud of it. I want to be the best office manager to support the team for the success of company.

Only You

No one ever said It would be easy There's heartache in the storm But it won't last forever So when the sun goes down I'll love you deeply Our seasons are made for change But my promise still remains Only you alone My today and all tomorrows Only you alone You're my anchor when I'm hopeless Even if the road ahead is unclear We will hold each other's hands in the darkness I choose you a million times over Only you Love is just a word But you gave it meaning When laughter turns to tears I'll hold you forever (I'll hold you forever) 'Cause you're the reason why My heart keeps beating (my heart keeps beating) When days turn into years My love will still be here (my love will still be here) Only you alone (only you alone) My today and all tomorrows Only you alone (only …

Cactus Vs Chia Plant

I was given this plant last year by our dear friend, it doesn't need anything except water every 3 days. However I'm not a plant person so I keep forgetting. That's why it almost dying and only left with a few leaves. I almost want to throw it away but I can't. I still feel that there's a hope until it's no more leaf there. So during my morning prayer, I look at the pot. If the soil is dry then I water it. One day, I have my water bottle with chia seeds inside. So I just water it with that water and some of the chia seeds also fell down into that soil. I didn't think anything, only hoping it can be a nutrition for the cactus plant. A few days later, when I am going to water the soil, I notice something different, I thought that's my fake plant who fell there because I had another dry plant next to it and keep falling when the wind is strong. As I'm about to pluck it, I noticed the root is in the soil then I realized the chia seeds have been sprouting...

Put Trust in God

On Wednesday afternoon, my team mate in Jakarta messaged me to ask the status of the documents that's supposed to be received early this week. When I checked with DHL, it seemed that DHL picked up the document but they didn't update the status and apparently didn't send to the correct destination. The customer service had no idea where the document was, he only told me that he would check in their back end and update me again the next day. Worried ? yes, calm ? yes I had a tendency to solve the problem as quick as possible but this one was beyond my control. At night before sleeping, I prayed to God and St Anthony to help us to locate the document and I surrendered to God because I knew He took control of everything even it's beyond my capacity. Thanks God, I could sleep well and in the morning, I prayed again and offered it with my fasting. After I was done with my exercise, I received 2 missed calls from DHL and when I called them back, they told me that the document ...
