Friendship - sisterhood

We first met this young lady in 2019 during our inaugural Holy Land pilgrimage trip. Although we lost touch afterward, we reconnected in 2020 at the celebration of our mutual friend's baptism. Since then, our friendship has grown, and we've shared many memorable moments together with our other mutual friends, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The restrictions brought us closer, as we frequently met to celebrate various occasions, from birthdays and graduations to Christmas, New Year’s, and even traveling together. Soon, she will be returning to Indonesia for good to embark on the next chapter of her life: getting married and settling down with her fiancé. We are truly grateful to have met her. Despite occasional misunderstandings, she has remained one of our closest friends. This week, we organized a farewell party with our other girlfriends and prayer meeting team to celebrate her and wish her well. We wish her nothing but the very best as she steps into this exciting n...

Annual Gala Dinner 45th Anniversary ME (24 Nov 2024)

This was our first time attending the Annual Gala Dinner with the ME community, and we’re so glad we came. We reconnected with familiar faces from our LC 471 (Love Circle), our mentors, the outreach service team, the Indonesian ME community, and parish priests. Seeing these couples, who have faithfully held hands through life’s ups and downs, inspired us to keep persevering and cherishing one another, no matter the challenges. We thank God for leading us to ME. By His grace, He has healed our wounds and restored our hearts.

Korea girls trip - reflection

This was my first overseas girls' trip, and we chose Korea as our destination. Along the way, I had some personal reflections that helped me discover more about myself. 1. Adaptability At first, I felt a little uncomfortable sharing a room and sleeping in close quarters with strangers, even though we were all women. Each of us had different sleeping habits, but thankfully, I was able to adapt quickly and slept well throughout the trip. 2. Dare to Be Different Most of the girls had insecurities about their appearance and decided to undergo beauty treatments, but I stood firm in my belief in natural beauty. I’ve always believed that each person is uniquely created by God, and there’s nothing wrong with having flaws. True beauty isn’t just skin deep; it comes from within. Even though my face may not be "perfect," I embrace my individuality, knowing that I am a limited edition created by God. 3. Self-Mastery and Self-Control The girls indulged in shopping sprees, and while it...

Korea girls trip - Autumn edition (November 2024) day 7

On our last day in Seoul, we spent the morning at Namdaemun Market for some final shopping before heading to the airport. I found a cute vest that I couldn’t resist and bought it for my next winter trip. And just like that, our 7-day girls' trip came to an end, with our luggage definitely heavier from all the shopping. Since I didn’t shop much, I had some extra space in my suitcase to help the others with their overflow! Kamsa hamida, Korea! Thank you for the memories!

Korea girls trip - Autumn edition (November 2024) day 6

This was definitely the highlight of our trip, as we finally got the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and explore the natural beauty outside Seoul. We rented a car for the day, and our first stop was Petit France, about an hour’s drive from the city. Petit France is a charming village designed to resemble a French town, complete with beautiful scenery. We arrived around 9 AM, and it was so peaceful and quiet that we had the place to ourselves, making it the perfect opportunity to take photos as if we were in the French countryside. Next, we went to experience the rail bike, a fun activity where we rode a four-seater bike attached to rail tracks. As we cycled along, we enjoyed the vibrant autumn foliage and passed through several themed tunnels, which added to the fun. We then boarded a scenic train, which took us through more stunning landscapes, offering panoramic views of the colorful autumn leaves. It was a relaxing and picturesque ride. For lunch, we treated ourse...
