Since it was Sunday, we had planned to attend English Mass at Myeongdong Cathedral and had booked two taxis.
One taxi arrived on time, so the first group of four made it to Mass just in time. Unfortunately, the second taxi didn’t arrive as planned. We ended up having breakfast at a nearby café and decided to attend the next Mass, which would be in Korean.
As it’s quite difficult to get a taxi on Sunday morning, we decided to take the bus, which took about 10 minutes. However, despite making it to the Cathedral, three of the girls decided not to attend the Mass, preferring instead to shop in the area.
I felt uneasy about missing the experience, so I chose to attend the Mass alone. It was a quiet, personal moment, and I felt grateful to be there, receiving Holy Communion.
Afterward, I met up with the rest of the group for lunch at Myeongdong Koja, a Michelin-starred restaurant famous for its dumplings, followed by some shopping in the area.
In the evening, we celebrated a bridal shower for one of our friends at Wild Wild West. The show featured a macho performance, but it was tasteful and professional, leaving plenty of room for the audience’s imagination.
