To celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, we decided to take a short getaway to Bangkok. Since we'll be focusing on our winter wear rental business for the rest of the year, we knew we wouldn't be travelling far, so this felt like the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together.
We took an early morning flight to make the most of our first day. After arriving in Bangkok, we headed straight to Pullman Bangkok Hotel G, our favourite hotel whenever we visit the city. Located in the Silom area, it offers a peaceful atmosphere despite being in the heart of Bangkok, with easy access to the BTS station and away from the usual traffic congestion.
As our room wasn't ready yet, we had lunch at 25 Degrees Burger, conveniently located next to the hotel. The burger was excellent—the beef patty was juicy, flavourful, and cooked perfectly. Their lunch set was reasonably priced, and the portion was just right.
After lunch, I treated myself to a 90-minute hair spa at Sarville, located in northeastern Bangkok. It was such a relaxing experience and the perfect way to unwind after the morning's travel.
When I returned to the hotel, our room was finally ready. After a quick refresh, we headed up to Scarlett Rooftop Bar for pre-dinner drinks. Although the rain prevented us from catching Bangkok's beautiful sunset, we still enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and, more importantly, each other's company.
With happy and full stomachs, we ended the evening with a leisurely walk through the lively Patpong Night Market, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere before returning to the hotel.
It was a simple day without a packed itinerary, yet it became one of the most memorable ways to celebrate 18 wonderful years of marriage. Sometimes, the best trips aren't about seeing more places—they're about slowing down and creating meaningful moments together.
