This was our second pilgrimage as a family, with Italy and France as our chosen destinations. It was especially meaningful as it coincided with the Holy Door and the Jubilee Year.
The trip was also a thanksgiving journey for our sons, who had just completed their Primary 6 and O-Level milestones. We felt called to give thanks together as a family, marking this season with prayer, reflection, and gratitude.
Our pilgrimage began in Italy, where we visited Rome, San Giovanni Rotondo, Lanciano, Loreto, Assisi, Siena, Bolsena, and Orvieto. We then continued on to France, exploring Paris, Lourdes, Nevers, and Lisieux.
We chose to rent a car and self-drive through both Italy and France—and we never regretted that decision. Along the way, we experienced many unexpected moments, meaningful encounters, and new adventures. These are stories I look forward to sharing in more detail in our upcoming blog posts.
We are deeply grateful and humbled to have been able to go on this pilgrimage as a family. Everything went smoothly—we were kept safe, healthy, and protected throughout the journey.
Every step of this pilgrimage was a blessing. It strengthened our faith, and each of us experienced our own small miracles and moments of healing along the way.
