Woman To Woman Recollection ( 1 May 2019 )

Yesterday, I attended W2W Recollection and it's kinda of blind faith.
When I saw their announcement at Catholic News, it's like God's call. I said yes and asked my hubby's permission if he's okay with 3 kids alone during public holiday.
And he said, just go for it.

So, when I forwarded the news to sisterhood group, they asked who's the organizer, who's the speaker, I only said I don't know.

Long cut short, I attended it alone.

There were about 30 women, some came as group, some came alone like me.
There were 3 topic sessions : who am I in front of God, Who is God for me, Who I want to be

They began with Praise and Worship and Charismatic is their core.
Then they used story about "I am Special" from Max lucardo to explain Who am I.
There's no speaker, only facilitators who helped us to reflect about who do I think I am.

Then, there's a creative activity which we were given the opportunity to draw our own coat of arm to visualise our greatest growth, our greatest challenges and our motivation/hope.
This is what I drew

My Greatest Growth is Faith. Since my encounter with God last August, I've been thirst to know Him more and after my pilgrimage from Holy Land, I have offered my whole life to Him and He gave me a grace of Wisdom and Understanding so that I know Him deeper.
I color the background as red means courage.

My Greatest Obstacles is Impatience and Pride. Those are my weaknesses. I'm a restless and impatience person and I have tendency to boast myself after achieving something.
Therefore, I draw horse as a symbol of my weaknesses and I want to be a donkey, who's slow, obedience and humble.
I color the background as yellow means light, I let myself vulnerable in the light of God.

My Greatest Motivation and hope is to grow, be fruitful and become blessing for others.
I draw tree deep rooted in the solid ground and it bears fruits.
I color the background as black means even though the world has been in the darkness, I am still be able to bear fruits and become blessing for others.

The Second Topic is about Who is God for me ?

Again, there's no speaker to explain who God is, but these facilitators did some role plays.
They played the role of God - God as policeman, God as calculative person, God as a santa claus, God as busy person.

After that, we were given a star to give to one of these God, which one was God's image according to us.

At first, I wanted to give God as Santa Claus, but I knew even though our God is loving God, He's still just and convict the sin. In the end I didn't give any stars for them.

In the end, they revealed that my image about God was right. Our God is loving and just.
He loves and accepts us as who we are but He hates sins.

Then, we were tasked to draw as a form of visualisation about Who is God for me today and which God we want him to be and how we want to have relationship with Him.

So I drew like this.
Who is God for me today is He is My Best Friend Forever.
Whom I can tell about my challenges, my anxiety, my mistakes, my weaknesses and He never judges and condemns me. He's always there for me day and night.

And Whom we want God to be, I draw Him as Father.
I want to be able to say Our Father's prayer with conviction.
I want to be able to love and put Him above everything and I want to do His will so that I can say that God will provide daily bread with confident.
I want to trust my life completely into Him eventhough I don't know what the future brings.

Then the last topic is Who I want to be
The facilitator brought us forward to the funeral procession.
There, she asked us to imagine if we are in the coffin, which verse that we wanted to be engraved in our tomb, what eulogy that the person we loved most and we respected most will be for us and whom we want to be engraved in our tomb.

I choose the verse is
"I am the handmaid of the Lord, Let Your will be done."

Eulogy from the person I love most which is my husband would be
My dear beloved wife, my advisor, my pillar of strength and faith.
You have chosen and put God above everything else, You have shown us how to love and trust God with all your heart, your mind and your soul.
In my darkest moments, you always there for me, supporting and comforting me.
Even though I couldn't see God in real, but I can feel God through you and your life.
You're the greatest gift that I've ever received in my life.

Eulogy from the person I respect most which is Mother Mary would be
My dear beloved daughter, the faithful one.
You have done what my son says to you, as promised, I will escort you to the Father.
I will accompany you during judgement day and I will plead with you for all the sins that you make.
I will never leave you alone and I will assure you that you will be with me and the rest of saints in heaven.

And the persons that I want to be engraved in my tomb will be Mother Mary and my husband.
I want to pass this legacy to my children and next generations to come that our life, heart and soul is for God alone and Mother Mary is the perfect role model.
And how God loves me in real life is like how my husband loves me.

A Burger Date

It feels like it's been ages to have a date night with hubby, thus before my parents going back to Indo we decided to have a couple date over burger as I have been craving with Hans I'm Gluck burger. We went there, enjoying the burger and companion of each other and talking about anything, something that we are used to have but no longer anymore after I took a new role in the company. Then, I accompanied him to shop at H&M before heading back home. It's one of the best burgers I ever had since I am in fasting the whole day for a week. The perk of fasting is I could appreciate the food and enjoy it.

Jubilee Year - Year of Hope (2025)

Year of Hope: A Personal Reflection on 2025 The year 2025 has been declared a Jubilee Year, a  Year of Hope  by the Pope—a time for peace, joy, and prosperity. For many, entering a new year brings feelings of happiness and optimism. However, I find myself on a different path, starting the year with anxiety and uncertainty rather than joy and hope. For me, 2025 is a year of the unknown. It marks the first time in four years that I will not hold the title of a working mom. Transitioning from this identity feels daunting and unfamiliar. It is also the year I plan to embark on a new venture: starting a winter rental business. This endeavor excites me but is fraught with challenges. There are countless pieces of the puzzle yet to be solved, and I pray for wisdom and the support of "ordinary angels" to guide me through. This is also a pivotal year for our family. Two of our children will face major exams. While I know the journey matters more than the results, I hope they develop s...
