Happy New Year 2025

At the end of 2024, we closed the year with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Church of the Holy Cross, where our eldest son served as an altar boy. The celebration continued with the church community, joyfully welcoming the New Year together. As 2025 began, on the Feast of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, we attended Mass at St. Mary of the Angels. To our surprise, the church was filled with people—a heartening sign that many recognize the challenges this year might bring and seek God's grace to guide them through. I’ve created a vision board for this year to help us remain clear and focused on our goals. With this plan, I entrust everything to God, trusting in His wisdom to guide and multiply our efforts for our good and His greater glory.

Jubilee Year - Year of Hope (2025)

Year of Hope: A Personal Reflection on 2025 The year 2025 has been declared a Jubilee Year, a  Year of Hope  by the Pope—a time for peace, joy, and prosperity. For many, entering a new year brings feelings of happiness and optimism. However, I find myself on a different path, starting the year with anxiety and uncertainty rather than joy and hope. For me, 2025 is a year of the unknown. It marks the first time in four years that I will not hold the title of a working mom. Transitioning from this identity feels daunting and unfamiliar. It is also the year I plan to embark on a new venture: starting a winter rental business. This endeavor excites me but is fraught with challenges. There are countless pieces of the puzzle yet to be solved, and I pray for wisdom and the support of "ordinary angels" to guide me through. This is also a pivotal year for our family. Two of our children will face major exams. While I know the journey matters more than the results, I hope they develop s...

New Year Resolutions !

Better late than sorry 😁😁 We arrived to Singapore on 29 December 2023 and needed to settle many things thus I didn't have time to sit down and wrote New Year Resolutions. So here's my New Year Resolutions for this year 1. New job This is the most burdensome in my life, I have been feeling awful with this current job. I just felt that the rules, SOP, policy are killing me softly. Thus, I have been praying since last year what I want in my career journey, the job / work that gives me Flexibility to manage my own time, whether hybrid or fully remote Job that I can contribute, help and create a social impact to people, planet and profit mean that I can help company to make money to bless others while helping clients to solve their problems Salary minimal the same like now or even more because I want to maintain the current lifestyle and to be able to bring my parents to go Europe pilgrimage and send my kids to overseas University. I don't know yet when my wishes come true but...

New Year, New Hope, New Adventure !

I feel hopeful for this year ! Looking forward to New Job, New Opportunities, New Travelling Experience and New home ! It's kinda excited, nervous, and scary feeling as I enter the unknown year what would be by the end of the year. There are things that I can control which only 0.01% and the rest is really beyond what I can control. My first and foremost burden that I want to be lifted up is my work. I just feel that my time in this company almost up, I just don't feel any personal growth anymore and the chemistry and connection with the team and the leader have dimmed. I have told God what I really want in my work 1. Flexibility to manage my own timing, hybrid or WFH style  2. The work that can give impact to all, both win win situations between company and clients 3. Salary at least the same or more to maintain our lifestyle and to bless others I have prayed these everyday through novena, rosary, mass intention. I believe that God heard and have answered my prayer and now it...

Au revoir 2023 and Happy New Year 2024

We spent the New Year Eve at our friend's house until past midnight. It's a great catch up with them to share our travel stories with them. They have been thick and thin during covid time. Then on the first day of 366 days in year 2024 we attended the morning mass celebrating The feast of Mary, Mother of God asking her prayer and blessing for this new year. As we don't know what will come and turn out the end of the road, we only could trust God that His plan is always the best for us. One verse that comes in my mind is Be Brave, I will be with you

New Year Resolutions 2023

This is our New Year Resolutions 2023

Happy New Year 2023 !

12 o'clock midnight the fire works were dancing in the sky mark the new year. We spent the New Year at home, drowning in the wine and getting drunk. In the morning, we had New Year mass together in the church. I was still drunk and hang over from the sadness on the New Year Eve. The homily from Fr Antony stroke me most. His message was a strength for me. It's the feast of Mary Mother of God. He told us that why the church celebrate Mary, Mother of God in the beginning of the year, it's because we need Mother Mary's intercession to pray for us so that we could gain strength and wisdom from God and able to journey this unknown year. There are two things that we could learn from Mother Mary. 1. Pray faithfully - Rosary prayer Prayer is a source of strength, wisdom and peace. By praying, it shows that we are humble enough to let God in charge in our life. 2. Stay in the foot of the cross Mother Mary was not the one hung in the cross because she's not God, but her obedie...

Reflection year 2022

It's a bit late as we have turned the new page of 2023, but it's better late than never. I just want to write what we have done in year 2022. In the beginning, we were not sure how it will end and even there were unexpected things happen in our marriage relationship, family, career and even the world. For 2 years we have been staying under Covid's shadows. No traveling, work from home, stay at home, lots of restrictions, face masks every where. However in the middle of year 2022, we were slowly seeing the lights at the end of tunnels. There are many things that I am grateful for, here's top 5 that strike my mind 1. Good health Eventhough we got covid in the end of February, we survived and became stronger. Our family and extended family survived the wave of Covid-19. 2. Career promotion and increment I never expected that I had the courage to move to other department which is more challenging and rewarding in the same time and finally I got the increment after working f...

New Year Eve 2022

I am planning to hibernate during New Year Eve, sit down and doing some reflections and thinking about New Year resolutions, alas things may not happen according to my plan. I am very tired physically from the Malaysia trip. What I really want to do just sleep in and do nothing but what make me tired mentally is we fight over trivial matters. It started well this morning, we brought the kids out to West Coast for breakfast and strolled in the park. Hubby asked me what will be the plan for today as he wanted to give some year end speeches to the kids. I told him, I had no plan at all as I was very tired. I just wanted to stay at home and rest. He was quiet but I didn't notice it as I was quiet too to reflect what I have done this year and what will be my new year resolutions. When we went home everything was normal, I asked our helper to clean our car and did grocery for next week meals. While waiting the car wash done, I wrote this blog about our Malaysia trip. After she's done...
