Galloping to New Year of Horse

At first, we didn’t plan to return to Jakarta for Chinese New Year this year. Our second child had just started at a new school, and the attendance policy is quite strict, so we thought it would be best to stay in Singapore. However, when our close friends invited us to their baby gender reveal, we simply couldn’t say no. After checking the school schedule and speaking with his teacher, we decided to make it work. Just two weeks before Chinese New Year, we booked our tickets. The flights weren’t cheap, but they weren’t unreasonable either. In the end, every dollar was worth it. We spent three nights in Jakarta — short, but deeply meaningful. It was enough time to reconnect with friends, embrace our family, and celebrate Chinese New Year together. Happy Valentine's Day 2026

This year, we celebrated Valentine’s Day — fully sponsored by my hubby’s company (which we definitely didn’t mind at all… haha). It was actually their annual company dinner, and the management was kind enough to invite spouses. The best part? It happened to fall one day before Valentine’s Day. So instead of spending from our own pocket, we enjoyed a beautiful fine dining experience at an Italian restaurant — what a blessing. The food was absolutely scrumptious, every course thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere felt intimate and comfortable, especially since we had met most of them during last year’s family day. It didn’t feel formal or stiff — just warm conversations, good food, and a lovely evening together. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love. It’s been a while since we dressed up, enjoyed good food, and had a proper date night at a high-end restaurant.
