Happy Father's Day 2021

This year we celebrate Happy Father's Day at home since all the restaurant is still closed for dining in. We celebrate it with hubby's favourite food, steak and sausages. I ordered eclair as celebration cake. Spiritually, thanks God for Family Builder which has this Fatherhood series every Saturday to remind us the important of father's roles in children and thus I help to take some pictures of hubby and the kids as memory and reminder that their dad has done his best to fulfill the roles.

A Journey to Promised Land

This is the reflection of my hubby's journey in his career from 4 years ago, on how God's vision was revealed. End of the year 2016, his mentor cum direct supervisor has been retrenched, he was very devastated and full of anger and anxiety that he would be the next one to be in the chopping board. However by God's grace he managed to resolve, forgive and love the higher level management and blessings came. He got a pay rise within a month after his supervisor was retrenched.  His order came like a river and he was in the peak of his career when suddenly another company came and made a better offer. He was in the dilemma, it's because he's already in the comfortable position and life and have achieved everything from the zero ground. After discernment and praying, he received the vision from God that God asked him to climb the higher mountain but he needed to go down from this current mountain. I affirmed him with the wisdom that I received that he needed to let go a...

Unveiled our cooking talents

Blessing in disguise Like everybody else, this Circuit Breaker unveiled our hidden talents that we never realise it before because we have no time to explore. Hubby, he becomes the steak expert from sourcing the beef, cooking it right to medium well and serve it with side dishes. Me, I'm cooking siomay and batagor for the first time and it's kinda achievement when the kids love it and it's healthy and tasty. Kids, they do a lot of baking of course kid's friendly baking and less mess. Nonetheless, we become family chef and cooking is our stress therapy.

My Protector and Hero

Yesterday, we attended investment preview invited by our friend. At first, I don't feel good about it, but we decided to come with open our mind to gain knowledge before passing judgement and deciding everything. During the presentation, everything looks flowing and perfect. It's too good to be true but I cannot pinpoint which one that seems not right. During our way back home, he asked me what I thought about that ? Which ones that were not right? I told him, I couldn't pinpoint it because I use only gut feeling. Then he explained and opened the flaws to me. I only said wowwww.... He has a wisdom and analytical gift that could find the flaws in perfection. I thank God for him and his gifts. He protects us and our family.

Physical Transformation

He has been accumulating fats and unwanted stuffs that the body should not have. On July, he took the steps to get rid of those toxic and reset his body back by joining Health Program. I was surprised at first because he's not that kind of person who's really care about health. He's very lazy to exercise, eating vegetables etc. However, I feel grateful and support his decision to change his lifestyle. The first two weeks was very tough because he needed to leave all the bad eating habits (no wine, no sugary drinks, no deep fried, selective carbs) and needed to start doing simple exercise for short period of time). Nevertheless, I encouraged him. I cooked healthy meals for him to bring to the office, helped him with exercise. After 7 weeks, his weight and body size were back like 8 years ago and he's younger than his chronological age. I'm proud of him. Not only that, his change in lifestyle also inspires our first son. He's now more health consciou...

True Leadership

On the Sunday, 21 October reflection, Archbishop William God talked about True Leadership. Quoted from what He said " True leadership is when a l eader puts the people above himself and sacrifice his life for others. He makes himself available to the people. For this reason, a leader is a selfless servant .  He is always the last to be served because he cannot rest until the rest have had their needs. A leader must suffer with the people and always be on the ground , moving among their people, working with them, living amongst them and sharing their joy and woes. Leaders are called to make personal sacrifices for their people. They choose to suffer for their sake so that the greater n umber of people would suffer less. But through their sacrifices and sufferings, a price for the salvation of the people, they will find peace and contentment. "  This powerful statements can be applied to the family life. Father as a leader of the family could...
