It’s been a while since I last wrote on this blog. So here I am again. 😊
As we closed the August chapter and started a new page in September, I wanted to document a little memory from hubby’s birthday.
We celebrated it in a very simple way. Nothing fancy, just spending time with the people we care about and love.
Hubby took the day off, and after sending the kids to school, we headed to Johor Bahru. We had dim sum for breakfast while waiting for our car to be washed. After that, we went to Plentong for some pickleball and did a one-hour drill with the ball machine. Just the two of us, doing something we both enjoy.
We then had a quick lunch at AEON Mall before heading back to Singapore. I had an evening class, while hubby needed to accompany our youngest for his pickleball training in the afternoon.
At night, we had a simple celebration at home with the kids — just a birthday cake, candles and family time.
Over the weekend, we played pickleball again, this time with some of our close friends. We had dinner together afterwards and celebrated his birthday there too.
I guess as we grow older, birthdays feel a little different. It’s less about having a fancy celebration or something nice to show on social media. We appreciate the simple things more — having time together, being surrounded by people we love, and being content with what we have.
Most of all, we thank God for His continuous providence, for good health, and for the love and harmony in our family.
Nothing fancy, but more than enough. ❤️
