Calm over the situation

We met our best friend over dinner last Sunday. They just came back from Scandinavia trip few weeks ago.
They shared about their unforgettable experience including the car accident in Iceland.
What caught me most was when they shared how the people there responded the fateful event like accident.

They told us that accident happened in the F road which was a lot of gravels and since suddenly it's snowing, they were not prepared. The car's tyres were slippery and they hit two motorcycles nearby. They were on the way to go to base camp for snow mobile activity.

After the car accident, they were very panic especially it happened in the foreign country and out of nowhere. Then there's a car coming and saw the accident happened.
The driver quickly was out from the car and check the motorcycles which have been hit by their car if there are victims. Thanks God, there's no casualty.

When they called the police, the police helped to contact the car rental company and informed them about the accident. The rental company asked them if there's any casualties or if the car was badly damaged. Thanks God, it's not as bad as it's but they were still in the state of shock because the bonnet was unable to close properly. Then the car rental company told them it's okay and just continued to their plan and enjoy the rest of the day.

After they reached the base camp and informed them about the car accident. The people there remained calm and told them that the police already informed them and they told our friend to go ahead with snow mobile experience and enjoyed it.

They were very surprised how calm the people there compare with Asian people.

It just reminded me that either good or bad in life, we should remain calm because we believe that God's in control of everything.

A Burger Date

It feels like it's been ages to have a date night with hubby, thus before my parents going back to Indo we decided to have a couple date over burger as I have been craving with Hans I'm Gluck burger. We went there, enjoying the burger and companion of each other and talking about anything, something that we are used to have but no longer anymore after I took a new role in the company. Then, I accompanied him to shop at H&M before heading back home. It's one of the best burgers I ever had since I am in fasting the whole day for a week. The perk of fasting is I could appreciate the food and enjoy it.

Jubilee Year - Year of Hope (2025)

Year of Hope: A Personal Reflection on 2025 The year 2025 has been declared a Jubilee Year, a  Year of Hope  by the Pope—a time for peace, joy, and prosperity. For many, entering a new year brings feelings of happiness and optimism. However, I find myself on a different path, starting the year with anxiety and uncertainty rather than joy and hope. For me, 2025 is a year of the unknown. It marks the first time in four years that I will not hold the title of a working mom. Transitioning from this identity feels daunting and unfamiliar. It is also the year I plan to embark on a new venture: starting a winter rental business. This endeavor excites me but is fraught with challenges. There are countless pieces of the puzzle yet to be solved, and I pray for wisdom and the support of "ordinary angels" to guide me through. This is also a pivotal year for our family. Two of our children will face major exams. While I know the journey matters more than the results, I hope they develop s...
