Welcoming 2021 with some love (02 Jan 2021)

We welcome 2021 with a fresh start by spending the second day of the year with couple time. I chose meatless restaurant, Joie restaurant as a symbol that we want to start with healthy, happy and positive attitude.

The restaurant served 7 course dinner menu and it's all plant based. We can choose different cuisine like Japanese, chinese, western cooking style.

For hubby, he chose

1. Yuzu drink and carrot sashimi as first starter

2. Bailing Mushroom on paper hot pot as first side dish

3. Mascarpone and watermelon tataki with chips three ways as cold dish

4. Infusion of cepes and truffle soup

5. Grill summer mushroom steak on "Pu - Ye" Hot stone

6. Coconut and blueberry false cake

7. Hawaiian blue mocktail

For me, I chose

1. Yuzu drink and carrot sashimi as first starter

2. Gratinated champignon with mozzarella

3. Vegetable sashimi on ice with oyster-leaf shooter glass

4. Japanese Kunbu broth with hand carved tofu

5. Truffle risotto

6. Red wine poached pear with chocolate sorbet

7. Hot Roselle Rhythm

We feel good after the meals and walk around the mall and taking some nice pictures to end the cold weather in the evening.

A Burger Date

It feels like it's been ages to have a date night with hubby, thus before my parents going back to Indo we decided to have a couple date over burger as I have been craving with Hans I'm Gluck burger. We went there, enjoying the burger and companion of each other and talking about anything, something that we are used to have but no longer anymore after I took a new role in the company. Then, I accompanied him to shop at H&M before heading back home. It's one of the best burgers I ever had since I am in fasting the whole day for a week. The perk of fasting is I could appreciate the food and enjoy it.

There are countless pieces of the puzzle yet to be solved, and I pray for wisdom and the support of "ordinary angels" to guide me through. This is also a pivotal year for our family. Two of our children will face major exams. While I know the journey matters more than the results, I hope they develop s...
