Dream comes true - Santorini here we come (Day 1)

It's been my dream and bucket list to visit Santorini thus I make this happen this year as my 42th Birthday gift for myself.
I didn't have time to plan itinerary, we only booked flight and hotel 3 months before and decided to do what come may there.
Initially we only planned to go to Santorini, Mykonos and Athens but feared that we may get bored after few days since nothing much to see except relaxing, we decided to add Istanbul and Cappadocia as second destinations.
We never regret it and it's one of our best couple trips so far.

We departed early Friday morning by Scoot bound to Athens and took around 11 hours. After arriving at Athens during sunrise, we had 2 hours waiting time to our next flight to Santorini by Aegean Airlines.
We had breakfast at Traditional Greek Bagel at airport.

We arrived at Santorini around noon and was picked up by private taxi to our hotel. Since the road there is cobble stoned, the hotel porter helped carrying our luggages. Thanks God we travelled light.

The first hotel that we booked was located at Fira and facing caldera view. When first we arrived, we were so amazed and excited with our cave room.
While waiting for the hotel to prepare the birthday surprise, we had lunch at Pelican Kipos recommended by the hotel staff.
The food was good, we ordered grilled chicken and pasta with beer and smoothies.

After checking in and changing clothes, we went to Imerogvli, the instagrammable village by foot and took around 1 hour haha since we stopped quite a lot to take video and pictures.
Then, we want to catch sunset at our private jacuzzi so we walked back around 5.30pm and took around 30 minutes.

Quickly change to swimsuit, we soaked ourselves at private outdoor jacuzzi watching sunset and sipping the glass of wine complimentary from the hotel.

Then, we had nice traditional greek dinner at Verandah restaurant. We ordered moussaka (eggplant lasagna) and beef stewed and greek salad.

We slept well out of tiredness and excitement.

Jubilee Year - Year of Hope (2025)

Year of Hope: A Personal Reflection on 2025 The year 2025 has been declared a Jubilee Year, a  Year of Hope  by the Pope—a time for peace, joy, and prosperity. For many, entering a new year brings feelings of happiness and optimism. However, I find myself on a different path, starting the year with anxiety and uncertainty rather than joy and hope. For me, 2025 is a year of the unknown. It marks the first time in four years that I will not hold the title of a working mom. Transitioning from this identity feels daunting and unfamiliar. It is also the year I plan to embark on a new venture: starting a winter rental business. This endeavor excites me but is fraught with challenges. There are countless pieces of the puzzle yet to be solved, and I pray for wisdom and the support of "ordinary angels" to guide me through. This is also a pivotal year for our family. Two of our children will face major exams. While I know the journey matters more than the results, I hope they develop s...

A Burger Date

It feels like it's been ages to have a date night with hubby, thus before my parents going back to Indo we decided to have a couple date over burger as I have been craving with Hans I'm Gluck burger. We went there, enjoying the burger and companion of each other and talking about anything, something that we are used to have but no longer anymore after I took a new role in the company. Then, I accompanied him to shop at H&M before heading back home. It's one of the best burgers I ever had since I am in fasting the whole day for a week. The perk of fasting is I could appreciate the food and enjoy it.
