Davin Indah Love story

We were so amazed with Beijing. It's rich in culture and history and we learned a lot from her. Now it's time for us to head to other city in South which is Shanghai. Shanghai is a commercial city where the economy lies. We took high speed train from Beijing Nan to Shanghai Hongqiao and it took 4.5 hours ride. The train was so spacious, clean and comfortable. The price is comparable with domestic flight. After reaching Shanghai we had quick lunch at the train station while waiting for our private driver picking us up. Then, our driver sent us to our hotel located in the city center near Yuyuan. It's newly opened less than a year, the room was spacious, clean, comfortable and high-tech. We love it !

The trip won't be completed without visiting the core history of China which is Forbidden City. Forbidden city was previously the imperial palace for royal family. They have many gates before entering the palace. The front gate is Qian Men which is now become walking street with lots of shops selling local delicacies and souvenirs. After that we have Arrow Tower which is the defense tower if the enemy was coming. Now it's just preserved building with no function. Then, we enter Tian'anmen with famous Tian'anmen Square surrounded by important buildings like Mao museum, Monument of People Hero's, Parliament building and national museum. The last gate is called Chongwumen or Meridian Gate which is we formally enter the Forbidden City. On third day, we were back to China ancient days. We started our journey with Hutong tour. We took rickshaws and exploring around Hutong - Shicahai Area and visiting Drum Tower. Hutong is the small alleys between the neighbours. In olden days, the house for commoners are gray colors and located outside Forbidden city. We visited one of the preserved house with courtyards in the middle of the house. This typical house reminded me of Peranakan house which I believed they were inspired by this ancient house in China. After that, we headed to The Mutianyu Great Wall of China and the journey took 1.5 hours. Reaching there, we fuelled our tummy before facing and conquering the giant. We had local delicacies like La-mien, pancake, kuotie and fried rice. Then, it's time to face and conquer the giant wall.
