The trip won't be completed without visiting the core history of China which is Forbidden City.
Forbidden city was previously the imperial palace for royal family.
They have many gates before entering the palace.
The front gate is Qian Men which is now become walking street with lots of shops selling local delicacies and souvenirs.
After that we have Arrow Tower which is the defense tower if the enemy was coming. Now it's just preserved building with no function.
Then, we enter Tian'anmen with famous Tian'anmen Square surrounded by important buildings like Mao museum, Monument of People Hero's, Parliament building and national museum.
The last gate is called Chongwumen or Meridian Gate which is we formally enter the Forbidden City.
The palace is so huge, it housed 24 emperors from different dynasty and have lots of palaces for concubines.
Before we exit from Shengwumen, there's imperial garden where the royal family had some tea back then and there were many ancient trees aged 300 - 400 years as silent witnesses of history.
Exiting from Forbidden City, we headed to Jingshan Park. We climbed up to the highest pavilion and we saw the bird's eye view of Beijing.
The south view is Forbidden City, north view is Drum Tower and Hutong area, West view is Behai Park and East view is Modern city of Beijing.
In the afternoon after our late lunch, we headed to Temple of Heaven, the place of worship for Emperor for asking blessing from God for Good harvest.
During our last night in Beijing, it won't complete without trying original Haidilao Steam boat and fortunately the place is so near with our hotel so here we go, dug in the steamboat and feeling satisfied.
