Third Week of Year 2021 ( Be Present)

Be Present There are not much works in the office, I had a plenty of time in my hand. However, it doesn't make me feeling good when I'm idling, browsing social media without purpose and the worst is I make a lot of carelessness mistakes in my work. I guess it's on Wednesday that I fed up with myself, why am I so careless and not paying attention to the details. My multitasking skill is like two swords, it can be helpful sometimes but it can be a hindrance. I decided to be mindful, to be present and do one task at a time. When I am free, instead of idling and browsing social media, I decided to deepen my fitness knowledge by taking a free course. I feel good when I use my time effectively. I guess the lesson learnt this week is to be present, to be mindful and to do one task at a time.

Get Fit together (13 Jan 2021)

This is our first edition of getting fit together after hybernating since Covid starts. We are committed to have regular exercise together once a week for our couple time. We run for about 5km around Marina Bay and had dinner at Satay by the bay, it's a good bonding time as we release all the stresses after work.

2nd Week of year 2021 ( Live in God's rest)

After a hectic week, there's a calm over the storm. This week I was able to clear up my works, have more time for myself, my kids and family. The challenge for this week was basically to find photographers for our website in a short period of time. However, God provides, I received a few quotes and He guided me to choose the suitable photographer and the results are satisfied. I had a hard time teaching my second one especially Chinese, however it's resolved on weekend when his mood is back and we have good bonding time learning together. From the whole episode of these two weeks, this picture reminds me to always stay close with God no matter what happen. So when the storms come, we are still be able to calm and trust God. The further we are from Him, the more anxious we are when the storms come since we will rely more on our strength and understanding.

First week of 2021

I would say the first week was a hectic week. Many things happened not according to my plan. It started with the kids's first day of school which I forgot to check their uniform and shoes and ending up they were not prepared. Not only that, many unexpected tasks came almost at the same time. My multitasking skills are like two swords. During those period, I managed to handle and solve the problems on the other hand I didn't feel that I was in the presence. My brain was working every second day and night even my dream was so sporadic. Fortunately, I could find some peace during that period. Morning prayer helps to calm me down and give me strengths and grace. In the beginning of the year, I was prompted with the word "Grace" with the quote from bible verse  Eventhough I am not sure what's the meaning of that, after a week has passed, I realised that God gave me a daily grace so that I was able to do His will. When things come beyond my control, I pray and surrender...

Bonjour 2021

Happy New Year 2021, may this new year brings joy, hope, love, peace, good health and prosperity. My new year resolutions. I offer this up to God as I always remember that my plans are not always God's plans but His plans are always the best for us.

Au Revoir 2020

365 days are gonna pass 2020 has given us a lot of surprises Things may not work according to our plans But God's grace and providence surpass all Eventhough some people may though it's been an awful year because of covid-19, there are many good things come from this. It's a good reminder to what are the most important things in our life. For me,  1. Health is our wealth  Without good health, we are nothing. Even though we have a lot of money, it will make no use. We want to do good deeds but if we are sick, it won't happen. Our body is a temple of God and we are accountable to take care of it as our acknowledgement and gratitude for His beautiful creation 2. Family is our breath This year we have an opportunity to travel during Chinese New Year just before the lockdown, after that we never meet face to face again. We missed our parents, food, hometown. However, as a consolation, we still have our family and relatives here in Singapore. Things that we always take for g...

New Year Eve Quarantined (31 Dec 2020)

This year is really special, we celebrate Christmas and New Year eve with our family in Singapore only. We are hosting thanksgiving lunch inviting our close family and relatives at our home sweet home. We cooked western food, pizza, macaroni schotel, tropical salad, calamari rings and bought baked chicken. Everyone is happy and delighted. In the evening, we went to our friend's house and spent the night until count down. It was a great evening with praise and worship as our gratitude to almighty God. Hopefully next year will bring more hope, joy, peace, love, prosperity and good health. Cheers for 2020 !
