Journey in the Wilderness (Holy Land Trips 9 March 2019)

We stayed over night at Sheraton Sharm Al Sheikh.
In the morning, we were still not talking in the bus. We had long journey from South Sinai to Cairo.
It took almost 8 hours by bus, we passed by some important cities that were mentioned in the bible.

Elim and Mara

Marah well

Elim - 70 palm trees

The Waters of Marah and Elim (Exodus 15 : 22 - 27)

" Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. So the people grumbled against Moses, saying "What are we to drink?"

Then Moses cried out to the Lord and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water and the water became fit to drink.
There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test. He said "If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you. "

Then they came to Elim, where there were 12 springs and 70 palm trees and they camped there near the water.

Middle way, our spiritual guide prayed for us and this was when God healed us and reconciliation took place.

He has forgiven me even though his heart was still hurt. As for me, it made me realised two things.
1. There's no point, I reach to the finish line first if I'm alone. My heart and life still empty
2. God has placed me as a helper to my husband means without me, he will be crippled and he needs me to help and support him to reach the finish line.

At night, we reconciled and our relationship and love became stronger than before.

Maintaining Marriage Fidelity

This article is from Focus Family and I thought it's good as self reminder for both of us so we don't take for granted of each other and commit to maintain marriage fidelity for the rest of our lives. Nobody wakes up one day and suddenly decides to begin an extramarital affair. Infidelity begins in the heart and mind. By the time a person physically commits adultery, he or she has been indulging for quite some time in progressively more intense mental and   emotional affairs . Likewise, marital fidelity begins long before marriage. It begins as a promise we make to ourselves to be a person of faithful character before marriage ever enters the picture. It is a promise we make to our future spouse when we get engaged, and it is a vow we make to our spouse when we get married. Marital fidelity is a daily commitment to seek the best for your spouse and family. Strengthening Marital Fidelity Marital fidelity is strengthened when you affirm your spouse, listen to your spouse, and se...
