Fun and Therapeutic Activity

I have been looking for vegetable farming workshop quite sometimes, but either the time was not suitable nor the place was so out.
Few weeks ago, one of my friends informed me about vegetable farming workshop at Thomson's Nursery areas.
I was excited and quickly registered and to my disappointment, the course was fully booked.
Thanks God, she knew the owner of the shop and can slot me in.
I really looked forward for this workshop.

Last Sunday, I gained new knowledge

1. Vegetables are short living only 7 days (flavour, taste, smell, nutrients)

Singapore is very small country with little own produce and most of the vegetables come from nearby countries.
By the time, the leaves were plucked from main plant, it's considered died and took about 4 - 5 days to reach supermarket shelves. Thus we only have 2 effective days to get most of it.

2. New concept between FRESH VS TREE RIPPED

We thought that as long as we eat fresh food, we are okay. Sadly, it's not really okay.
When the farmer or gardener picks the fruits from the tree, they are still green color and they are ripened in the shelf instead from the tree.
That's why the taste and nutrients have so much difference.

3. Plant our own vegetables

With small area that we have, the new trend is using vertical plantation and hydroponic.
We learnt how to produce our own vegetables at low cost and have high yield.
It's really smart idea

We got our hands dirty and planted chinese kailan. Hopefully I can harvest it in one month time.

Maintaining Marriage Fidelity

This article is from Focus Family and I thought it's good as self reminder for both of us so we don't take for granted of each other and commit to maintain marriage fidelity for the rest of our lives. Nobody wakes up one day and suddenly decides to begin an extramarital affair. Infidelity begins in the heart and mind. By the time a person physically commits adultery, he or she has been indulging for quite some time in progressively more intense mental and   emotional affairs . Likewise, marital fidelity begins long before marriage. It begins as a promise we make to ourselves to be a person of faithful character before marriage ever enters the picture. It is a promise we make to our future spouse when we get engaged, and it is a vow we make to our spouse when we get married. Marital fidelity is a daily commitment to seek the best for your spouse and family. Strengthening Marital Fidelity Marital fidelity is strengthened when you affirm your spouse, listen to your spouse, and se...
