Do What He Tell You to do...

These past few days, I’ve been overwhelmed with uncertainty and anxiety. Negative thoughts have been echoing in my mind: "Most of your friends in your CG received great job offers—why not you?" "Can you really make this business work?" "Tuition fees are rising, insurance premiums are increasing—can your husband's salary cover everything?" "Will people even rent from you?" "It’s a seasonal business—what will you do the rest of the year?" "Finding a job would be the easiest way to earn money." Logically, all these concerns are valid. But instead of giving me clarity, they only bring more anxiety and confusion. I started questioning myself— Did I make the right decision? Sometimes, I catch myself scrolling through LinkedIn, searching for jobs that might suit me. But nothing seems to align. As I prepare for my business launch, I feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, I’m excited and energized, knowing I can finally use my gifts ...

Faith, Gratitude and Perspective

Last Thursday, my husband and I had an argument over something trivial. The kids were running late, but I insisted they brush their teeth, even if it meant being three minutes late. I wanted them to learn the lesson that responsibilities shouldn’t be skipped, no matter the circumstances. My husband was upset with how I handled the situation. He expressed that he felt angry and disrespected. In response, I raised my voice too, overwhelmed by the pressures of managing the kids and navigating my new business venture. Although we agreed to talk it out that day, our conversation didn’t resolve much. We withdrew into our own emotional spaces, becoming distant while still fulfilling our roles as parents. By Saturday, we decided to have a deeper conversation. I shared the darker side of my feelings—how my faith felt like it was hanging by a thread after what happened at my workplace last year. I felt cornered, as if every door had closed on me. Even with this new business opportunity, I often ...

The Feast of Presentation of The Lord - 2 Feb 2025

2nd Feb was a special day as I officially registered my business on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord with the business name : WinterBuddy Singapore LP (pending approval) I want to offer this business to God, trusting that He will multiply it into a blessing—not only for our family but for other families and the planet as well. God planted this calling in me two years ago. Though I had no prior knowledge or experience, He inspired me, and I finally said yes. I trust in His grace and providence, believing that as long as I walk with Him, He will provide everything I need. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from my previous business ventures is to never rush ahead. God moves at His own pace—He may seem slow to us, but He holds all time in His hands. Even when we think He’s late, He is always in control. So now, I move forward with faith, following my instincts on what steps to take next. And each day, I will pause after dinner to focus on what matters most—caring for and te...

Givethanks at Church of Lady Akita

We had the opportunity to visit the newly built Church of Our Lady of Akita at PIK, designed to resemble the original church in Akita, Japan. This church is well known for the supernatural phenomenon where a statue of Mother Mary shed tears 101 times—scientifically confirmed to be human tears. The atmosphere was solemn and serene. We took a moment for a short prayer, giving thanks for the past year and asking for blessings of good health, joy, peace, hope, love, and prosperity in the new year.

Happy Chinese New Year 2025 - Welcoming Year of Snake

We had our Chinese New Year reunion dinner at Sentral Restaurant and were glad we chose the first session from 5:00–7:00 PM. Shortly after, heavy rain poured down, causing traffic jams and flooding everywhere. Thankfully, we made it back to our hotel by 8:30 PM and had a good night’s rest. The next day, we visited our grandparents' house to reunite with family and relatives. We also caught up with friends, as well as my brother and his kids—since we only get to meet once a year. Grateful that everyone is healthy and well.

Chinese New Year Trip 2025

As usual, we traveled back to Jakarta for our Chinese New Year reunion. The day started with unexpected drama. Since our flight was at 7:35 AM on CNY Eve—a busy time when people are either traveling or preparing for reunion dinners—we decided to book a maxi cab in advance, paying a premium for the convenience. Unfortunately, the driver forgot about our booking. We waited for 15 minutes, but with no sign of the cab and no option for online check-in, we had to reach the airport by 6:30 AM. By 6:00 AM, we had no choice but to book the first available Grab or taxi. Thankfully, both options arrived at the same time around 6:05 AM. Checking Google Maps, we saw an estimated arrival time of 6:40 AM—technically too late for check-in. Panic? Of course! I tried to stay calm and prayed the rosary during the ride, reflecting on what lesson I could take from this stressful situation. And then, a miracle happened. My husband and two younger kids arrived at the check-in counter a minute or two before ...
