This year christmas eve fell on Monday and since hubby has long leave from 21st December until 1st January, we spent Christmas Eve at Resort World Sentosa. We came in the afternoon after the kids napping then had dinner at Din Tai Fung Restaurant. It's short and sweet memories on Xmas Eve spending with our family.

On December 20, we received wonderful news: we were selected in the ballot for our new home! It was the best Christmas gift we could have asked for, and we felt incredibly blessed. Yesterday, after exercising at Botanic Gardens, we visited the HDB Hub to check out the exact location of our new home, the future MRT line, and the showflat. We decided to go for the highest floor in Blk 116B, unit #12-549, if it’s still available. The booking will start in February next year. We are overjoyed, and words can’t fully express our gratitude. This morning when I woke up, I felt fresh, positive and grateful. After I gave thanks to God for the things He has done for us, I started my daily reading as usual. Today's gospel reading about the annunciation and the first reading is from Isaiah prophecy about how the King will come. As I read through the passage, there's a burning question. I asked God, in the past few weeks during this advent season, all the readings from old testament are about the prophecy of the King, the Messiah who would come to rescue the Israel and returned them back to the promised land. The prophet portrayed the king like those in the previous kingdom for eg King David and His descendants who were with great power and wisdom. And Israel was hoping and waiting for this kind of King for long period of time since their exile period. Yet, when Jesus, the truly King was born, He even didn't have the proper place during his arrival in this world. People rejected him by not giving...

In the beginning of advent season, I found this psalm and it seemed like an affirmation from God. Blessed is the man/woman whose delight in the law of the Lord, who obeys the Lord and whatever they do prospers. As I have reflected towards the end of this year, I was amazed of how God has worked through our family, our relationship as husband and wife and our journey as an individual. In the beginning of the year, my hubby was struggling with new job. He almost gave up hope. We quarrelled a lot because the difference in our belief. However, we still stayed firm and trusted God. On the first quarter, things started getting better. He got the first project. And soon towards the second quarter, he was confirmed in his new company. We were relieved and grateful. God's blessings didn't stop there, on the third quarter when everyone in the company was pretty quiet in terms of the order, he was overwhelmed with weekly orders.  On the last quarter, he fina...

Yeayy, this year we have no plan for gifts exchange however we already gave each other present. Hubby gave me new iphone Xr and I loved it because there's portrait mode haha... and I gave him photo wallet with our pictures were engraved.

Last week we had impromptu holiday to Jakarta. We only booked tickets like one week plus before our departure. At first we were considering to go to Malaysia for road trip but last minute we changed the plan and went back to Jakarta instead. Meanwhile, hubby also arranged the business trip so that I could stay in the hotel together with him and spent quality couple time after he finished his work. Sometimes our plans didn't work as what we have planned but still it's nice holiday. On Monday, hubby got the order and he needed to arrange here and there to make sure everything was going smoothly and it took a lot of his time so I ended up spending time with our kids from Monday to Wednesday. We only had our couple time on Thursday and Friday. However, it's more than enough for us. We spent time dining at our favourite restaurant, watching movie, shopping and relaxing at the hotel lounge.
