Davin Indah Love story

Since 2 weeks ago, we had regular fridate to unwind after 5 days working hard. 2 weeks ago, we had couple run in Marina area and had post-meal together at Satay of the Bay. Yesterday, we had dinner together at Ayam Taliwang. It's really good session to unwind, talking about what's happening at work and we feel much closer like bff.

This is impromptu dating as we don't really plan ahead. We took a leave on Monday as the kids were having one week midterm break. We went out with the kids to Sungei Buloh Wetlands in the morning and had good cardio exercise with them. In the afternoon, we planned to have a drink and relax at Marina Bay area however as most cafes are closed on Monday. We decided to have dinner at Korean restaurant at Tanjong Pagar area. Hubby was curious with iberico pork thus we decided to try this Korean restaurant, the Gogijip who's famous for iberico pork. We love the authentic korean food there, it's value for money and we really enjoyed each other companionship. Monday no longer blues anymore for us :)

This morning I decided to join my gym's buddy who has been asking me to join his training for adventure trail. As the location is at Bukit Timah Nature Hill and it's pretty near from my place, I decided to accept his challenge. It's just for 4 of us, two gentlemen and two ladies. It's such a beautiful morning and so many people were there. We start from the foot of Bukit Timah and hike through steep slope, steep staircase until reaching the summit.  Then we go down and jog to another trail until we accidentally lost  and reach Windsor Park instead. It's almost 12km in total with elevation gain. I feel so good after that, achieving something I never done before, conquering and defeating my self doubt and can see that my boring gym regime actually has strengthen me and producing result. As I reflect on this, it's similar with our life. We may do boring everyday life, but it's slowly building our characters until when we are ready, we are able to win the battle...

This past few weeks, I have been fighting and racing against time. It's actually office matters, it's secondary priority in my life after my family however it's my responsibility in my work. In the past 2 months, I have been searching for this new home for our team. It's not an easy task, I have been viewing almost 50 units, strolling back and forth around Tanjong Pagar and Raffles area until I remember the road, the street along the stretch of tall building. I made friends with few property agents, met strangers and became friends. The requirements of the new office have been changed now and then as we want to get the best unit. In the end, we found one according to our needs and liking. However, the challenges didn't stop there. We raced against the time as we had only 2 weeks to complete everything before moving in. I needed to find the contractors to do minor renovation while the company didn't allocate any budget for renovation. I needed to give facts findi...

Last weekend, our cell group did collaboration with PDKK Gratia from Jakarta. We were hosting this online retreat for young couples in Singapore. It's a fruitful retreat to rejuvenate, recharge our relationship. Yes we are in good marriage and listening to the extreme sharing from the couples from Indonesia, we feel so blessed. We only need to working out how to maintain our good marriage and make it become better marriage. We need to ignite the love sparks now and then so that we still have deep connection with each other. The total couples joined around 30 couples. We hope that they received a wealth of wisdoms from this retreat. Marriage journey is like a car journey. There's time we need to pause and do overall checkup and cleaning and there are a lot of times we need to do regular maintainance.

Yesterday we celebrated Davin's birthday with our close friends. It seemed like ages we never had party with our friends after we had kids and here we were, chatting, dining and drinking as we were young again. But, we are still young at heart too :P We booked the tables at Hans I am Gluck and had nice burger meal with beer and great companions.   

Hip Hip Hooray ! Hubby is turning 37 this year. Both of us took leave yesterday to celebrate his birthday. He's such as simple guy who doesn't fancy gifts, he prefers to be accompanied and has quality time together. So we started our day with having brunch at Tiong Bahru Bakery after dropping the kids to school. It's delicious but also pricey, it's for special occasion so we enjoy the food, the ambience and companion. Then, we went to Clarke Quay, reminiscing our courtship day when we were young and had freedom to go anywhere we like. In the afternoon, we headed down to Arteastiq for afternoon tea and we chose local set and we did window shopping at Plaza Singapore afterwards. In the evening, we had simple celebration with our children before heading to Ion for Ramen Dinner. It's such a fruitful day and we were so tired after reaching home and had good night sleep.
