Magical White Xmas - Japan trip (day 10)

We fall in love with the beauty of Kanazawa so we decided to spend half day strolling around Higashi Chaya district or famous for Geisha town. There are Japanese traditional houses with a lot of tea house where Geisha or Maiko entertained the guests. We also tasted the infamous golden leaves ice cream as Kanazawa produce many things from gold. After that we took train to Yuzawa ski resort and took us around 3 hours and reaching there around 4 pm. We stayed at Japanese room style and slept atop Futon, it's kinda new experience for us so we took Yukata and had family pictures before going for onsen. It felt so good onsen and enjoying fresh cold air and snow. Then we had simple dinner at nearby restaurant - a bowl of warm ramen and gyoza.

Magical White Xmas - Japan trip (day 9)

Merry Christmas !! It's been my dream to have white Xmas and it came true. We spent our Xmas day at Shirakawa-Go, UNESCO heritage where it seemed like fairy tales. We drove there for around 1 hour and through the snowy mountain, the view was spectacular and we were so speechless during the journey. Arriving during lunch time, we were so happy playing with snow and can't get enough taking picture until we didn't have time to have proper lunch and ending up eating ice cream for lunch. Then, we went to Takayama for early dinner and having shoyu ramen which was light and I loved it, After dinner we went to Takayama old town for a while before returning back to Kanazawa.
