As usual, we traveled back to Jakarta for our Chinese New Year reunion. The day started with unexpected drama. Since our flight was at 7:35 AM on CNY Eve—a busy time when people are either traveling or preparing for reunion dinners—we decided to book a maxi cab in advance, paying a premium for the convenience. Unfortunately, the driver forgot about our booking. We waited for 15 minutes, but with no sign of the cab and no option for online check-in, we had to reach the airport by 6:30 AM. By 6:00 AM, we had no choice but to book the first available Grab or taxi. Thankfully, both options arrived at the same time around 6:05 AM. Checking Google Maps, we saw an estimated arrival time of 6:40 AM—technically too late for check-in. Panic? Of course! I tried to stay calm and prayed the rosary during the ride, reflecting on what lesson I could take from this stressful situation. And then, a miracle happened. This marks the beginning of my second business venture:  WinterBuddy — Your Buddy for All Things Winter . This month is all about brainstorming ideas, conducting market research, and preparing for launch. Next month, I plan to officially register the business as a Limited Partnership on  February 2, 2025 . The date is meaningful to me—not only is it easy to remember, but it’s also the Feast of the Presentation. I want to dedicate this business to God, praying that it will bless people, protect the planet, and generate profits for meaningful purposes. My husband and I dream of having our own dedicated space where families can try on and rent winter jackets and boots. This is the third sign that God is with me, ready to guide me if I surrender and trust in Him. This morning, during my prayer, something felt different. Instead of presenting my petitions to God, I chose to reflect on the Sorrowful Mysteries during my rosary prayer. The experience was deeply moving, bringing me peace and comfort. Later, while on the treadmill, I came across a YouTube sermon titled  "No Time"  by a pastor. As I listened, I felt as though my Guardian Angel was speaking to me again. The message was simple yet profound:  God is love, and love is patient. God never rushes. He walks—He doesn’t run, jump, sprint, or hurry. Even in moments of urgency, such as when Jairus’s daughter was dying, Jesus walked to her. He even paused when a woman in need touched His cloak, seeking healing. The past four days have been incredibly hectic from the moment I woke up each morning. From sending the kids off early, exercising, picking up winter clothes and boots, viewing storage units, serving in PD KKIHS, to teaching the kids at night—it felt like a never-ending cycle. I was so busy that I didn’t have proper meals, often grabbing whatever I could while on the road. On Thursday afternoon, before serving in PD KKIHS, I found myself with 30 minutes to spare. I decided to enter Our Lady of Lourdes Church. The quiet and serene atmosphere gave me a moment to pause. There, I broke down and poured out my feelings to God. I felt alone and overwhelmed. I told Him that, if I had a choice, I’d rather work for someone else—just fulfilling my responsibilities, earning a paycheck, and not worrying so much about the uncertainties of entrepreneurship. After much discernment, I have finally decided to embark on an exciting new chapter in my career: starting my own business—a  Winter Rental Business in Singapore ! This journey is anything but easy, as I am building everything from scratch on my own. There are countless missing pieces to the puzzle that I need to solve and an overwhelming amount to learn in a short time. The biggest challenges ahead include: Securing storage space for inventory Sourcing quality inventory Developing user-friendly platforms Marketing effectively to the right audience Creating a seamless system for an exceptional customer experience Balancing these tasks while also managing family responsibilities, ministry, and other commitments adds another layer of complexity. Amidst it all, I continue to pray, trusting God to provide everything I need. I seek His wisdom to guide me and ask for ordinary "angels" to help me fill in the gaps and overcome my weaknesses. Our best friend was getting married! We had known the bride for 4.5 years, since the pandemic, and our friendship had grown stronger over time. We were honored to witness her journey as she finally found someone special, who is now her husband. It was a privilege to be part of their love story by standing by their side as groomsman and bridesmaid. We flew to Jakarta on Friday morning, spent the day fitting our dresses, and had dinner with friends, eagerly anticipating the big day on Saturday. The next morning started early—around 2:30 a.m. We got ready with makeup and dresses, joined the bride for a beauty shoot, participated in the gate crash, and finally headed to the church for the Sacrament of Matrimony. In the evening, the celebrations continued with a lively reception, followed by an unforgettable after-party. At the end of 2024, we closed the year with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Church of the Holy Cross, where our eldest son served as an altar boy. The celebration continued with the church community, joyfully welcoming the New Year together. As 2025 began, on the Feast of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, we attended Mass at St. Mary of the Angels. To our surprise, the church was filled with people—a heartening sign that many recognize the challenges this year might bring and seek God's grace to guide them through. I’ve created a vision board for this year to help us remain clear and focused on our goals. With this plan, I entrust everything to God, trusting in His wisdom to guide and multiply our efforts for our good and His greater glory.
