Daily Battle Between Angel and Demon

I was sitting down with my children during lunch time, while I was feeding both of them, suddenly I was inspired to write about Constant Daily Battle Between Angel and Demon.

Every day once we open our eyes, we face a new battle within us. Some are obvious black and white for eg lie or not to lie, some are grey for eg finding 5 cents coin in the street, should we take it or not and some are invisible for eg smile or not to to smile with strangers in the lift.

Everything that happens and everyone whom we meet in daily life are all not by accident. They come to us for some reasons, it's our action that makes difference.
Sometimes we think after we have had our morning prayer before our activities begin then that's it, our jobs are done, we thought that we have won the battle by reporting to God.

The battle starts when we do our activities, meet people and strangers, serve our family and children, do our tasks at work. Every decision we make as a response for what we face on the day itself does really matter. In the end of the day, we can see the fruits we bear whether we have won or lost the battle.

Our battle is to spread the love of God with the act of humility.

More than often, we only associate spreading love with charity to the poor, putting aside our money for the church or visiting orphanage or old folks home and limited to those who have physical illness or physical needs.
However, there's no little deed that God never count on it.  When we love our neighbours who ever they are, we have redeemed them.

The battle within us

1. When we meet the strangers in the lift, do we smile and say Good morning to them ?
Perhaps by doing so, we have redeemed them by spreading the positive energy and life to them

2. When we alight from the bus, do we say thank you to the driver ?
Perhaps by doing so, they feel loved and appreciated and joyfully doing his tasks

3. When we meet our colleagues in the office, do we spread our smile and say how's your day ?
Perhaps by doing so, they feel enlightened even though they are facing the challenges at home

4. When we are about to eat lunch at coffeeshop or hawker center, do we share our table with the strangers and even say Hallo to them ?
Perhaps by doing so, they feel half of burdens are gone and they are recharged for another half day

5. When we are in the public transport, do we let other people sit in our seat even though we pick it first ?
Perhaps by doing so, they feel inspired and do the same with others who may need it

The battle in Social Media.

I would say Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Watsapp, Twitter, Youtube and many more ) is Spiritual Nuisance. More than often, we are spiritually blinded by this and have been manipulated  about ourselves.

1. When we received undesirable news that spread anxious toxic, do we stop and delete it or do we eagerly share them in the group ?
Perhaps by doing so, we unconsciously become the evil tools to spread the anxiety and become the stumbling blocks for those who have weaker faith

2. When we see others posting their success, do we feel happy for them or anxious, judgemental, envy and jealous ?
Perhaps by doing so, we are already in demon side and overwhelmed with self pride

3. When we post too much about ourselves just to get the attention and approval from others, do we feel pride and happy about it?
Perhaps by doing so, we have been spiritually blinded and our self righteousness take control us.

The battle in Family

1. When we wake up and see our spouse and children's face, do we grateful to God, say good morning and kiss them ?
Perhaps by doing so, they feel loved and empowered to spread the love to others

2. When our kids are annoying, do we pass our anger to them or just smile and patiently telling them their wrong doings ?
Perhaps by doing so, they will copy our behaviour and do the same with their peers

3. When our spouse irritate us, do we forgive and have a compassionate love for him/her ?
Perhaps by doing so, we have redeemed our spouse

Those are example of daily battles in our life. It may not seem obvious and most of the time we take it for granted and we let the day pass just like that. Importantly is by the end of the day, what are we feeling ?
Are we feeling tired, empty, angry, annoyed, anxious or are we feeling joy, peace, love ?

If we feel tired, empty, angry perhaps there are somewhere in our life that we have lost the battle without we realising it.

If we feel joy, peace, love, we know for sure that we have won the battle for the day.

Whether we lose or win, there's always a new battle every day until our earthly life ends.
No matter how mature our spirituality is, what career or stage of life we are, clergy or layman, we have this battle within us.

When we fail, we can always learn from the mistake of the day, get up and ask God's Grace to empower us so that we can be a better and wiser person to win the next battle.

God knows our limitations and He will not forsake us when we lost the battle. He will cheer us up and say I love you my children, no matter what you do, I will always love you and never forsaken you.

God gives us FREE WILL to choose and make decision between right and wrong and it's so powerful, either we help the good and spread more goodness or become the instruments of the evil.

The choice is ours.

A Burger Date

It feels like it's been ages to have a date night with hubby, thus before my parents going back to Indo we decided to have a couple date over burger as I have been craving with Hans I'm Gluck burger. We went there, enjoying the burger and companion of each other and talking about anything, something that we are used to have but no longer anymore after I took a new role in the company. Then, I accompanied him to shop at H&M before heading back home. It's one of the best burgers I ever had since I am in fasting the whole day for a week. The perk of fasting is I could appreciate the food and enjoy it.

Jubilee Year - Year of Hope (2025)

Year of Hope: A Personal Reflection on 2025 The year 2025 has been declared a Jubilee Year, a  Year of Hope  by the Pope—a time for peace, joy, and prosperity. For many, entering a new year brings feelings of happiness and optimism. However, I find myself on a different path, starting the year with anxiety and uncertainty rather than joy and hope. For me, 2025 is a year of the unknown. It marks the first time in four years that I will not hold the title of a working mom. Transitioning from this identity feels daunting and unfamiliar. It is also the year I plan to embark on a new venture: starting a winter rental business. This endeavor excites me but is fraught with challenges. There are countless pieces of the puzzle yet to be solved, and I pray for wisdom and the support of "ordinary angels" to guide me through. This is also a pivotal year for our family. Two of our children will face major exams. While I know the journey matters more than the results, I hope they develop s...
